Stephen King is officially big business at the moment. Following the blockbuster success of 2017's spine-tingler IT, we're delighted to announce our Cineworld Unlimited screening of Pet Sematary, screening in advance tonight for all you King fans.
The author's famously terrifying novel (which he considers his all-time scariest) was previously adapted in 1989. It now gets a slick new adaptation, starring Dawn of the Planet of the Apes actor Jason Clarke. He plays Louis, a doctor who moves his family to a remote new home next to a busy highway.
While acquainting themselves with their eccentric new neighbour Jud (Daddy's Home 2's John Lithgow), Louis, his wife and kids are also made aware of the local pet cemetery nearby, said to be imbued with evil powers. The malevolent forces encircling the cemetery begin to tear the family apart following a series of tragic occurrences, beginning with the death of their pet cat Church.
