It's time to fire up the Aston Martin and get that dinner jacket or cocktail dress ready. Because James Bond's latest thrill-ride SPECTRE has finally arrived on Cineworld screens.
No doubt many of you have already been to see Daniel Craig take aim on opening night (you may even have stopped by the world premiere) and we can't wait to hear your thoughts. But it's not just SPECTRE that's got our attention.
In a recent poll of 3,000 Unlimited members, we asked who the ultimate Bond girl is. And the response was more overwhelming than a helicopter barrel roll over the streets of Mexico City.
The overwhelming winner with an impressive 26% of the vote was Skyfall's incomparable Dame Judi Dench as M, a surefire sign that British is best and that you can't beat a dash of genuine thespian class. Dame Judi, who first appeared in the series in 1995's Pierce Brosnan starrer Goldeneye, managed to see off Casino Royale's French beauty Eva Green (14%) and Die Another Day's no-nonsense Halle Berry (10%).
So what about Bond himself? Well, it probably comes as no surprise that Daniel Craig was voted the most popular Bond ever with half of the nation selecting him as the Bond actor they’d like to see unlimited films from.
In second place came Scottish legend Sean Connery (23%) and Daniel Craig’s predecessor, Pierce Brosnan (18%) third. Not surprising, George Lazenby, the only 'one-hit' wonder Bond, came last with just 1% of the vote.
And the baddies were leaving Unlimited members both shaken and stirred, too. The winner in this category was the iconic, metal-toothed Jaws (Richard Kiel) from The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker who, with 16% of the vote, just narrowly beat Skyfall's blond-haired Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) with 15%.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the poll – with its awesome action, memorable characters and glamorous locations, SPECTRE is ultimately the kind of movie that your Unlimited card is made for. And it's thrilling to see Unlimited members clubbing together to celebrate all things 007.
