Following on from the successful launch of the UK’s first ever 4DX auditorium in Cineworld Milton Keynes earlier this year, we're thrilled to announce that Cineworld Sheffield will become the second cinema in the country to house the revolutionary 4DX experience.
4DX stimulates all five senses through high-tech motion seats and special effects such as wind, fog, lightening, bubbles, water, rain and scents.
It's the most spectacular way to enjoy the biggest blockbusters like SPECTRE, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
And if you thought 4DX couldn't get any more incredible, then think again. The auditorium will be fully immersive with 140 specially designed seats, plus a curved screen measuring 6.80m by 12.30m. All the better for pulling you into the world of your favourite movies.
Additionally, the new Sheffield 4DX will include the brand new, remarkable ‘rainstorm’ effect, which will bring to life on-screen inclement weather simulations.
The cinema will also be getting a full upgrade with new spacious seats installed in every screen, as well as the foyer, bar area, concessions, and box office refitted. The auditorium opens to the public on 22nd October and booking is open from 7th September.
