Two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz brings gravitas to awe-inspiring manga adaptation Alita: Battle Angel, out now in Cineworld.
He plays Dr Dyson Ido, one of millions carving out a meagre existence in the year 2563 in the wake of 'The Fall', a catastrophic war. When Ido rescues the body of a cyborg from a scrapheap, he brings her back to life and names her Alita (Rosa Salazar), and she promptly sets out to discover who she once was.
This sweeping interpretation of Yukito Kishiro's popular manga Gunnm is a combined project between writer-producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez. We caught up with Christoph to discuss the making of the movie – but was he willing to describe the plot to us? Scroll down and find out.
