No stranger to interviews and media attention, Louis Tomlinson sitting down with Steven Barlett still remains hugely significant when you consider the kind of candid, open-forum conversations that take place on Diary of a CEO.

Steven Bartlett certainly doesn’t shy away from sensitive topics either. Previous guests include Lewis Capaldi, Maisie Williams, and, more recently Simon Cowell – the man responsible for the creation of One Direction and Louis’ skyrocketing fame – with guests often delving into mental health struggles, childhood trauma, and battles with addiction.

Louis Tomlinson is no stranger to tragedy, and we expect Steven to bring down Louis’ Walls and talk about the loss of his mother, Johannah Deakin in 2016, and his sister Félicité in 2019. It could be that Louis also speaks about his bandmate, Liam Payne’s tragic passing, a subject that feels particularly tender given it will be a year since his death on the 16th October.

Of course, the interview is also sure to cover Louis’ career and relationship with fame, from being put in the band to going solo following One Direction announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2016. (Y’all, it’s been nearly ten years… something tells us it might not just be a hiatus anymore.)

Having released two solo albums – Walls in 2020 and Faith in the Future in 2022, as well as a live album simply called Live in 2024 – Louis Tomlinson is set to release his new single “Lemonade” on the same day as this announcement (30th September), marking the beginning of his next musical era.

Speaking on his decision to bring Diary of a CEO to the big screen, host Steven Barlett said: “Community has always been at the heart of Diary of a CEO. Our listeners join us week after week because they want to feel part of something bigger. Bringing this podcast exclusively to Cineworld cinemas for the very first time means that our community can come together in person, to share the experience side by side. This feels like the natural next step in the future of podcasting.”

Episodes of Diary of a CEO can span anywhere from an hour to 3 hours+, with the running time for Louis' interview set for 120 minutes. Plenty of time to delve deep into who Louis Tomlinson is today and the path that lead him there.
