At the start of 2019, we noticed that Cineworld Unlimited members set themselves the challenge to make full use of their Unlimited cards by seeing 100 movies in 2019.
So we thought we’d show you just how easy it is to complete the #100FilmsIn2019 challenge by listing just 100 of the epic movies heading your way this year.
As we enter the final month of the year, we want to know: which of the following films will you watch, and will you be able to crack the 100 movies challenge?
December 2019 movies
- 100. Jumanji: The Next Level – Released in December 2017, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was one of the year's biggest surprises, eliciting fabulous chemistry between Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan. It became one of Sony's most successful movies and the stars are all back for the sequel – will it live up to the original?
BONUS MOVIES
Already cracked 100 movies in 2019? Why not go the extra mile with the following?
- 101. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – JJ Abrams returns to the Skywalker saga for this historic conclusion to an important chapter in the franchise. As Rey (Daisy Ridey) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) prepare for another confrontation, the re-emergence of the evil Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) leaves the future of the galaxy hanging in the balance.
- 102. Cats – Les Miserables director Tom Hooper assembles an all-star cast for this adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's blockbusting musical. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Judi Dench and Ian McKellen are among those being rendered (via CGI) into furry, humanoid felines.
- 103. Little Women – Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig adapts Louisa May Alcott's classic novel about the March sisters, bringing a distinctly modern feel to the text. Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson and Eliza Scanlen are the assembled March siblings, and are joined by Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep.
- 104. Playing With Fire – Tough guy turned comedy scene-stealer Jon Cena goes soft in this tale of a brawny fire department that comes unstuck when having to look after a group of kids.
