How far would you go to watch the latest Yorgos Lanthimos film for free? The people of LA were being asked to shave their heads in order to get complimentary tickets to a special screening that took place on Monday – ahead of Bugonia’s release on Friday, the 31st October.
While not an advanced screening (and you will have to pay), you can keep your hair with tickets now on sale at Cineworld for Bugonia!
Starring Emma Stone as a CEO of a major company, Bugonia sees her character kidnapped by two conspiracists who think she’s an alien sent down to destroy earth. Later on in the film, they completely shave her head, paranoid her hair helps her to communicate with her home planet. Yes, really.
Posting on Instagram, LA events guide “DoLA” shared the event happening at The Culver Theater, inviting those who were bald or willing to shave their heads to a free advanced screening of Bugonia. The best part? There was a resident barber there to do the honours on site.
From bald heads to Emma Stone singing Chappell Roan's "Good Luck", Bugonia is about to have a whole moment. Make sure you get your tickets ahead of its release on the 31st October.
