Before you get up in arms about Tim Allen's absence, it should be stressed that the movie, simply titled Lightyear, is based on the human character who inspired Buzz the toy. This was emphasised by Evans himself on Twitter.

We can't wait to see the stoic, square-jawed inspiration for the classic Disney-Pixar character. Especially if Evans taps into those growly, bass vocals he used in Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs the World.
Lightyear is scheduled for release on 17th June 2022. Excited? Let us know @Cineworld.
