Ethan Cohen and Tricia Cooke have cooked up another comedy – this time of the neo-noir, detective kind – and it once again stars Margaret Qualley in the lead role. With her stunning bob capturing the attention of Unlimited members at last night’s preview screening of Honey Don't!, find out what the verdict is on the second in the “lesbian B-movie trilogy”.
With Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, and Charlie Day joining the team, private investigator Honey O’Donahue (Qualley) must solve a string of deaths in her small town that are all seemingly tied to a church. Sounds culty! And Chris Evans is giving Andrew Scott a run for his money as hot priest, Reverend Drew Devlin…
You can book to watch Honey Don’t at Cineworld when it’s released on 5th September, and find out what Unlimited members thought of the film below.
For fans of Cohen's previous movie, Harv reckons you won't be disappointed when watching Honey Don't! In fact, he says it captures a similar wild energy, and is funny to boot.
Callum loved seeing Margaret Qualley in this role and is pitching for someone to cast her in 22-episode crime sitcom stat!
And some of us are just here for style inspiration. The small town 60s/70s vibes are everything, and we're reaching for a pair of scissors to do a dramatic hair chop as we speak.
Over on X, Unlimited member James was a big fan of Honey Don't! and was saying hell no to the haters. And he's right. The music choices are top tier and the cinematography is divine. Name a prettier movie, we'll wait.
I absolutely loved it: it was funny, and beautifully shot with excellent music choices, and I think the people who didn't think the plot was resolved were just not paying attention - Honey knew exactly who Cher was (she clocked her bike at both murders).
