The new British rom-com Rye Lane has screened in advance for Cineworld Unlimited members, and it sounds like a real winner. It's the story of two south Londoners who begin a tentative friendship (and maybe something more) when on the rebound from their respective break-ups.
With its authentic depiction of Peckham locations, sharp script and visuals from feature film debutante Raine Allen-Miller and likeable performances from David Jonsson and Vivian Operah, the movie possesses everything you need to blow away those late-winter blues. Here's what Unlimited audiences made of the movie.
It was a very strangely enjoyable movie! The story is very well written, the whole cast and crew did a superb job with their roles including the lead 2 actors David Jonsson as Dom and Vivian Oparah as Yas! Overall Score: 8.5/10! Grade: A-! Well Done Everyone!!! 😁😁😁

I had high expectations due to the early reviews and was not disappointed! Just what the doctor ordered on a miserable Wednesday evening and fairly short and sweet! Definitely worth a second viewing 😜

Dare I say best film of the year so far? Really good vibrant fun. Had its own distinctive sense of humour & some smart directorial choices as well as a central couple you couldn’t help rooting for.

Reminded me of 2021’s Pirates & 2015’s Man Up, it was short sassy & hilarious
Enjoyed it….somewhat. It was just too inconsistent, and follows typical rom-com formulas, but that being said, the jokes were fairly fresh, and when they worked, they really worked.

Special mention to one of the most random cameos ever in films.
It was really cute and funny moreover it showcases a side of London that international audiences, hell even people around the UK, won't be used to seeing on the big screen. It was a shame that Yas was a manic pixie dream girl however Vivian Oparah gave her so much personality
