Rousing sports biopic AIR charts the creation of the world's most iconic sports shoe. Director Ben Affleck reunites with Matt Damon for a truly inspirational tale, in which Nike marketing executives earmarked a certain young basketball rookie named Michael Jordan.
Their mission: to build a dynamic and bold new sports brand around their talented young star. From there, the AIR Jordan trainer was born. Damon plays Nike marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro and Viola Davis portrays Jordan's mother Deloris, and both actors stand out amidst a strong cast that also includes Affleck and Jason Bateman.
AIR screened in advance for Cineworld Unlimited members and we wanted to know if the movie was a slam dunk. Based on the reactions, it looks like a yes. Scroll down to discover a handful of the responses.
Genuinely one of the best films you will see this year! Stellar cast, class soundtrack and such a great story! 3 pointer, Slam Dunk, from downtown! Absolutely nailed! #AIR

You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again, #Air is a slam dunk. Affleck’s direction is perfect and Damon gives his best performance in years. It’s a fascinating look at how Air Jordan started with a tight script and a short snappy runtime. Not perfect, but still great! 🏀👟 pic.twitter.com/ZThGyFufQp

absolutely loved it, you don't have to be a basketball fan to enjoy it either. great script, superb performances and a fab soundtrack of 80's hits. Ben Affleck made the perfect choice to focus on Sonny & Deloris, leaving Michael Jordan on the periphery of the story. pic.twitter.com/zeJCdoOyg0

It Was a Major Slam-Dunk and Incredibly Moving Film! The Whole Cast and Crew Were Absolutely Phenomenal! I really felt myself routing out for Sonny with his keen idea of having Michael Jordan being signed on with Nike! A definite must watch! Score: 9.5/10! Grade: A+! Well Done!🏀

Really Enjoyed it from start to finish. A very interesting film & loved the acting, I learned about how NIKE did in the industry & the best thing they did when they signed Michael Jordan and how it went so BIG when it got launched. Ben Affleck made a Really GOOD movie. 💯 pic.twitter.com/PFqUyBOtfy
