Last night, Cineworld Milton Keynes hosted the UK’s first-ever 4DX screening, utilising in-cinema technology to stimulate all five senses. The star-studded red carpet launch was attended by celebrities such as Ella Eyre, Jameela Jamil, Russell Kane, Luke Pasqualino, Jamal Edwards and YouTube sensation Jack Harries.
The guests experienced the full force of 4DX cinema with a screening of comic book adventure Kingsman: The Secret Service, out now in Cineworld and starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Taron Egerton.
4DX comes equipped with high-motion seats and 15 special effects including wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water, rain and scents, in both 2D and 3D formats. The effects are designed to work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen.
The new auditorium has taken a total of five months to complete and includes 140 seats plus a curved screen measuring at an incredible 5.8m x 10.5m – bigger than a double decker bus.
Jameela Jamil, TV and BBC Radio 1 presenter, said, "I actually felt like I was part of the film – I can’t wait to see other movies in 4DX!" Singer song writer Ella Eyre was also thrilled with the multi-sensory effects, commenting that, "It was so surreal – the special effects really added another dimension to the movie!"
Also in attendance was comedian Russell Kane, who tweeted his rave response to the screening...
AMAZING. I've been rocked, sprayed at, and prodded. #kingsman . @Cineworld#Cineworld4DX @LoopVIP

Moshe Greidinger, Cineworld Chief Executive Officer, comments: "We’re delighted to have launched this revolutionary cinematic experience in the UK. Cineworld Milton Keynes is our first location among many others to come. In 4DX, cinema-goers become part of the action as sounds, motion, lights and special effects thrill them in their seats."
