No Other Choice is “a kooky off kilter, sometimes fun, sometimes strange watch” according to early reviewers

Leading South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook is back with his latest genre-blending title, No Other Choice. A satirical black comedy thriller, No Other Choice follows Man-Su who, after 25 years of service, is abruptly laid off from his job at a papermaking company. Entering into a rough job market, he goes to the very extreme to eliminate the competition in order to get the job he wants.

Last night, Cineworld Unlimited members were treated to an advanced screening of No Other Choice, arriving at Cineworld this Friday, 23rd January. Book your tickets below (it’s screening in IMAX!) and find out what Unlimited members thought of No Other Choice.

No Other Choice certainly brought out Unlimited’s finest with some incredibly thoughtful reviews on the Decision to Leave director’s latest. If you like your films a little off kilter, one thing for sure – No Other Choice is that film.

It’s also one that challenges your preconceived ideas, both in terms of where the film will go but also of the societal expectations it challenges.

And if you’re after a visually stunning film, too, No Other Choice has got just that in spades with Park Chan-wook’s trademark transitions.

It was a similar story on Letterboxd, where users praised his use of unique transitions.

Really, Dan has hit the nail on the head…

And if there’s dogs (or cats) in a film, we’re going to clock it.
