James Vanderbilt’s Nuremberg arrives at Cineworld tomorrow (14th November), taking a clinical look at the dark minds behind one of the worst human-led atrocities in recent history, and Unlimited members were treated to an advance viewing.
Based on Jack El-Hai’s The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, Nuremberg tells the story of the psychiatrist given the job of carrying out medicals to ensure the 52 Nazis standing trial were of sound mind. In particular, it focuses on the relationship formed between Doctor Douglas Kelley and Herman Göring.
Be the first to see the latest indie innovations and blockbusters with Cineworld’s special screenings for Unlimited members.
Nuremberg was never going to be an easy watch when handling the inner workings of the individuals behind the Holocaust and other atrocities that occurred during World War 2.
Unlimited members collectively agreed that the decision to include real life footage of concentration camps really added to the emotional gut punch of Vanderbilt’s Nuremberg, ensuring we never feel comfortable watching such real life horrors.
Powerful and chilling, the real life footage was hard to watch, excellent performances

An extremely powerful film easily one of the best I have seen all year .Having been to the court in Nuremberg that was used in the trails it was even more poignant. The real life footage of what happened at the camps was very chilling .Definitely a 10/10 from me it was brilliant

Very powerful. Particularly the real life footage of the concentration camps. Also a powerful warning that’s unfortunately quite relevant these days. Superb acting too from Russell Crowe.

At least that’s what I thought, not sure about the man who started snoring in our screening
A very powerful and timely film. Beautiful performances from all involved, Russell Crowe was suitably terrifying and the real life footage was genuinely harrowing. Looking at the state of the world today it feels like more people should have listened to Dr Kelly

In fact, a couple of Unlimited members suspect this could be a film shown for years to come in educating future generations on the troubled past of the human race.
Historical, important and chilling. This is a film which will be shown in years to come.

#Nuremberg was incredible. This should be mandatory viewing in schools. Less than 100 years and the horrors of WWII seem to be forgotten. Amazing performances by everyone.

Jonathan is already predicting that Oscar nominations could be on the way for Nuremberg and its cast…
Brilliant film and powerful, with great performances too. Oscar nominations coming I'm sure

In fact, Megan reckons Russell Crowe could be taking home an Oscar – his first since Gladiator.
So many people are giving this 2/5 stars but the performances alone make this a 4/5 movie! I smell an Oscar for Crowe because wow.

And Peter agrees that both Russell Crowe and Rami Malek gave incredible performances.
Great performances from Crowe and Malek. It's made me want to find out more which shows it was a success.
