A-lister James McAvoy takes a break from big screen work to appear in the NT Live's new production of Edward Rostand's classic Cyrano de Bergerac. The Split and X-Men star plays the title character, who is determined to win the heart of his great love Roxane – if only his big nose didn't get in the way.
Martin Crimp adapts this classic tale of love, valour and narcissism, directed by Betrayal helmer Jamie Lloyd. We were delighted to catch up with James to discuss how he got into character and what it was like working on the production.
