Chris Hemsworth is majorly dissed in the latest AGBO Football Fantasy League Video. The burns come courtesy of fellow Marvel star Pom Klementieff, who signs in from the Mission: Impossible 7 set in Venice to drop some fine French putdowns. That would also explain the presence of Simon Pegg (who co-wrote the song) behind the camera – not to mention the appearance of two more Mission: Impossible heavyweights...
Klementieff, who played Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, rags about the hunky man-mountain who is "not a god but a loser". She also taunts, good-naturedly, about him being no bigger than Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland. And she proclaims Hemsworth not to be the god of thunder but of "light drizzle". Game, set and match?
Confused? It's all in aid of a good cause. AGBO is a company set up by Endgame helmers Joe and Anthony Russo that aims to create "content borne of innovative story universes across film, television, and digital platforms". Klementieff appears to have taken the lead in the AGBO football league, which has enlisted various Marvel stars to do battle by means of trash talk videos, in the process raising money for a charity of their choice.
Various MCU stars have already taken part, including Hemsworth himself, Robert Downey Jr., Paul Rudd and Karen Gillan, not to mention Joe Russo. So who's next? While we wait, get up to speed with the previous videos.
