Disney's very own police procedural is back with Judy and Nick once again finding themselves on the trail of a tantalising case. Avatar: Fire and Ash (19th December)

Kinda like a bus, you wait 13 years for the sequel, and now then they all come at once – well, sort of. The third Avatar film is on the way after the long awaited follow-up to its 2009 original, Avatar: The Way of Water. Following on from the events of the 2022 movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash sees Jake and Neytiri grieve the loss of Neteyam and face new, fiery foes in the Ash People tribe as Pandora comes to blows once again.

Disney movies coming out in 2026

Hoppers (6th March)

Animal lover Mabel utilises the technology discovered by her own professors to "hop" her mind into the body of an authentic robotic beaver. Infilitrating the animal world from the inside, Mabel soon joins forces with the pack of beavers in order to stop a construction company in its tracks from destroying their habitat. A new original story from Pixar, we're here for giving animal rights a platform!

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (1st May)

Sure, it's technically being made by 20th Century Studios, but Disney owns it – and we're just a little bit excited about the long-prayed for sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. Both Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are back, and yes – the sequel is out in spring. Groundbreaking.

The Manadlorian and Grogu (22nd May)

Were you a fan of the TV show? Well, now The Mandalorian and Grogu are heading for the silver screen as the bounty hunter and The Child officially join forces following the fall of the Galactic Empire. Honestly, it didn't take Pedro Pascal all that long to dominate our screens once again.

Toy Story 5 (5th June)

You thought you'd seen the last of these toys – you were wrong! Jessie and the gang are back and about to face their biggest challenge yet while Woody is seemingly off helping abandoned toys find their owners. They thought they were happy to be back in Bonnies bedroom, but it turns out they've got bigger fish to fry when the Lilypad enters the chat – a frog-like tablet device that is about to steal all Bonnie's attention.

Moana live action (10th July)

Disney has sprinkled its live action magic on a bunch of classic Disney animations. For the first time, it'll be using some of that pixie dust on a more recent release – 2016's Moana. With Dwayne Johnson returning as the real life Maui, Moana takes to the high seas in order to settle an adventurous heart that calls out to the sea, and to save her home of Motunui.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (31st July)

Little is known about the plot of the latest Spider-Man film, the fourth starring Tom Holland. While it seemed Peter might have left behind his persona as Spider-Man, at the end of No Way Home he decides to make a new suit and continues to take the law into his own hands.

Avengers: Doomsday (18th December)

Marvel are keeping tight-lipped about most of its projects at the moment. What we do know is Avengers: Doomsday is set to be a huge movie with an even bigger cast, including the Fantastic Four family, X-Men OGs, the Black Panther clan, and beyond.

2026 is stacked for new releases out of the Disney conglomerate – and there are tons more in the pipeline in the years beyond Walt Disney Studios and its subsidiaries, too.
