Brand new trailers that have just dropped
Avengers: Doomsday (18th December)
From Cyclops getting the recognition he deserves to Steve Rogers and Thor both becoming parents, Marvel Studios has been drip feeding teaser trailers over the last couple of weeks – and we're so ready for this giant ensemble of superheroes to hit the big screen on 18th December. Check out the latest X-Men teaser, with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen returning.
The Odyssey (17th July)
Christopher Nolan is known for his epic films, so why not take on an epic story? Homer's The Odyssey is hitting the big screen this summer with a sprawling A-list cast list, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, and Zendaya. And we've finally got the first heart-stoppingly good trailer.
Supergirl (26th June)
This is one for the hot mess girlies. A contrast to the seemingly perfect and clean cut Superman, James Gunn's DC Universe is expanding with Milly Alcock as Supergirl. A little more rough around the edges, this girl loves to party away her past trauma, but an unexpected adversary means she reluctantly must join forces with an unexpected ally to bring about justice.
Street Fighter (16th October)
Between the next Super Mario movie and Mortal Kombat, 2026 is stacked with video game movie adaptations. And 2026 will also see the release of Street Fighter, too, starring Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, and more. Heavy on the fist throwing, the teaser trailer also looks incredibly fun (and maybe even a little bit silly).
The Moment (30th January)
Following the success of other mockumentarys like Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, Charli XCX wants a slice of that pie. With a whole season essentially renamed after her and penning a whole album of original songs for Emerald Fennell's upcoming Wuthering Heights adaptation, Charli XCX will also star in 100 Nights of Hero. So why not also throw her own faux documentary into the mix? The Moment follows Charli XCX on her first headlining tour with plenty of tongue in cheek moments and party girl behaviour.
The Drama (3rd April)
The Robert Pattinson renaissance continues – and we are so here for it. A24 is bringing us Zendaya alongside RPatz (a dream!) in this portrait of an engaged couple who's impending nuptials are sent into a tailspin when one discovers shocking truths about the other.
Latest trailers for upcoming releases this year
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (20th November)
With Wicked all done and dusted this year, Lionsgate is swooping in and taking its slot in the movie release slate with The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Suzanne Collins has clearly been working closely with Lionsgate for another prequel of the original The Hunger Games trilogy, given Sunrise on the Reaping only came out in book form in March 2025. But its movie adaptation is hot on its heels, telling the backstory of the beloved Haymitch and his experience in the Second Quarter Quell. The cast for this is outstanding. They really nailed the likedness in younger versions of the likes of Haymitch, Effie Trinket, Plutarch, and President Snow. And you can watch the first Sunrise on the Reaping trailer below.
Moana (10th July)
Another Disney live action is on the way – and this time its a more recent animation adaptation. 2026's Moana is taking to Motunui where the ocean calls to Moana to help save her people. Moana will be played by Catherine Laga'aia, with real life demigod Dwayne Johnson returning as Maui.
Hoppers (6th March)
Speaking of upcoming Disney films, the latest Pixar film sees Mabel, a STEM major at college and animal lover, use technology developed by one of her professors to "hop" her human mind into a life-like robotoic beaver and help the animals overpower a construction company looking to destory their animal habitat. And the leader of the beavers, King George, wears a little golden crown. If that doesn't sell it, we don't know what will!
Wuthering Heights (13th February)
Are you a slave to the original, or do you like fun? The online discourse around Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of the Emily Brontë romantic gothic has been rife, but that seems par for the course where Fennell is concerned as a provocative filmmaker. She’s the same director who gave us both Promising Young Woman (amazing!) and Saltburn (iconic) after all. And no we'ce got our first full length trailer, featuring a lot of yearning and plenty of spice. Starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, will you be curling up with the classic this Christmas to get ready for the Valentine's Day romp? We certainly will be.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 (1 May)
People may have plenty to say about Meryl Streep's choice of heels, but we're just so over the moon that The Devil Wears Prada 2 is finally a realised dream – and it's coming out so soon. The teaser sees Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly strutting over to the lift. Anne Hathaway's Andrea Sach's makes a break for it, stopping the door from shutting, with Streep's scathing, "Took you long enough" leaving us all to scrape our jaws off the floor. And Madona's "Vogue" was playing in the background, because of course!
Toy Story 5 (19 June)
It's not just us adults that are having their attention span ruined by screens (we only mean the small kind, the cinema obviously doesn't count), kids are also being put on screen time limits left, right, and centre. And Toy Story is finally address the elephant in the room with the somewhat unexpected release of Toy Story 5 next summer. Did we all think our time with Woody and Buzz was done after Toy Story 4? Sure, but we're more than happy to be returning to Bonnie's bedroom, where the age of toys might well be over... The first teaser trailer has dropped, and no one does it like Pixar!
Michael (24 April)
Produced by Graham King who also produced the Freddie Mecury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody comes a new biopic, this time for the King of Pop himself. Michael is coming in spring 2026 and stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson's newphew, as the legendary muscian. The film is also being co-produced by John Branca, who took over management of Michael after the popstar fired his own father from the role.
Scream 7 (27 February)
A new Ghostface killer is back weilding its knife and they're preying on surviver Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and disturbing the piece in her new quiet life in a small town with her teenage daughter. Also starring Courteney Cox, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, McKenna Grace, and more, it's coming in early 2026, three years after Sream VI was released in 2023.
28 Years Later: Bone Temple (16th January)
You wait more than ten years for Danny Boyle to make his return to the 28 Days Later franchise and then, like buses, they all come at once. 7 months after 28 Years Later was released, its direct sequel will be released on 16th January 2026 with the latest trailer glimpsing as Spike is inducted into Sir Jimmy Crystal’s gang.
The Bride! (6th March)
Jessie Buckley stars as "the Bride", a woman murdered and then brought back to life by Dr. Euphronius (Anette Bening) in order for Frankenstein's Monster (Christian Bale) to have a companion. What proceeds her creation is an explosive partnership between the Bride and the Monster, and increasing police interest.
Reminders of Him (13th March)
Colleen Hoover has had a good run lately with her best-selling books being adapted for the screen. Last year we got It Ends with Us. Currently you can watch Regretting You at Cineworld. And next year both Reminders of Him and Verity (starring Anne Hathaway) will be released, with the first trailer for Reminders of Him dropping recently. Reminders of Him tells the story of Kenna, a woman that is incacerated for causing the death of her boyfriend Scotty. After 5 years in prison, she's released and wishes to reconnect with her daughter. Grab your tissues, it's gonna be emotional.
The Mandalorian and Grogu (22nd May)
Djarin and Grogu are breaking out of that small box and upgrading to the big screen with the latest Star Wars epic. The New Republic employs The Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to protect the new regime as the remaining Imperial warlords threaten the new status quo.
