The Housemaid (19th December, 2025)

Starring Hollywood ‘It’ girl Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins, The Housemaid is a hotly anticipated book to screen adaptation. Originally written by Freida McFadden, the psychological thriller sees a young woman looking to hide from her past and escape into the job of a live-in maid for a wealthy couple – a couple who have their own dark secrets soon to be unravelled.

Wuthering Heights (13th February, 2026)

The online discourse around Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of the Emily Brontë romantic gothic has been rife, but that seems par for the course where Fennell is concerned as a provocative filmmaker. She’s the same director who gave us both Promising Young Woman (amazing!) and Saltburn (iconic) after all. With the first trailer dropping starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, it looks like the broody romp we’ve all been yearning for.

28 Years Later: Bone Temple (16th January, 2026)

You wait more than ten years for Danny Boyle to make his return to the 28 Days Later franchise and then, like buses, they all come at once. 7 months after 28 Years Later was released, its direct sequel will be released on 16th January 2026 with the latest trailer glimpsing as Spike is inducted into Sir Jimmy Crystal’s gang.

Black Phone 2 (17th October, 2025)

Mason Thames is swapping dragons to return to the sequel to the 2021 supernatural horror The Black Phone as Finney, the only known survivor of serial killer, the Grabber. Played by Ethan Hawke, the Grabber seems to have only grown stronger in death, with Finn ad his sister Gwen set to run into the killer as they investigate a winter camp where boys are being stalked.

Die, My Love (14th November, 2025)

Heralded as an excellent trailer that is all vibes without giving too many plot details away, Die, My Love is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz’ novel of the same name. Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson as a young couple who leave behind New York City for a more rural life, Grace (Lawrence) struggles with postpartum depression and feeling isolated in their new home in Montana after she gives birth to their child with Die, My Love depicting her dwindling mental health.

Avatar: Fire and Ash (19th December, 2025)

James Cameron’s epic continues with his third film in the Avatar series, Avatar: Fire and Ash, arriving just before Christmas. Otherworldly in scope and visuals, it feels as though we’re cycling through the elements and marvelling at the way the special effects handle the new fiery foe. Finally we got to get a peak at what we can expect from the third film.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (3rd April, 2026)

While not a proper trailer, the sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been given a title alongside its 2026 release date, teasing which old school game the second movie will be based upon. The teaser sees Mario lounging against a tree with a far off castle in the distance, ending with the title card The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. This upcoming video game movie will therefore be based on the 2007 game Super Mario Galaxy.
