Big news – Cineworld Unlimited turns a quarter of a century old this July! To celebrate, we're running a special film season to celebrate called, you'll never guess 'The Unlimted Film Season'! There's plenty of ways to get involved with celebrating the 25th anniversary, including selecting which films we show throughout. With the first five films already revealed, read on to book and find out all the other ways you can get involved in helping us celebrate.
What films will be shown at The Unlimited Film Season?
The next film season will include titles that have been released since Unlimited membership was launched. That’s anything from 2000-2025! To help us whittle down the list, we asked you to tell us what films you would like to feature on our social channels. So far, five movies have been confirmed.
The Hunger Games (July 1)
Suzanne Collins has still got us in an absolute chokehold with her dystopian world of Districts and the overseeing pupeteers of Panem. With another prequel movie, Sunrise on the Reaping, confirmed for 2026, let's go back to the start and be reunited with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.
There Will Be blood (July 8)
After a period drama to sink your teeth into? Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood is returning to Cineworld, following a relentless oil tycoon, Daniel Day-Lewis as Daniel Plainview.
Whiplash (July 9)
You know what the cinema always could do with more of? Miles Teller. With a number of Academy Awards under its belt, this psychological drama is not to be missed when it returns to Cineworld screens.
Superbad (July 10)
After something a bit more lighthearted and silly (don't worry, Hot Fuzz is also further down), the mid noughties classic Superbad will feature in the Unlimited season, starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera in this American coming-of-age movie that sees co-dependent besties getting into plenty of trouble.
LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring (July 14)
Journey back through Middle Earth on the big screen with all three movies returning as a part of Cineworld's Unlimited Film Season. And yes, before you ask, it's the extended editions. Beginning in The Shire, a meek Hobbit, Frodo Baggins, sets out with his best pal Samwise to destroy the powerful One Ring.

LOTR: Two Towers (July 15)
The journey to Mordor continues as Frodo and Sam are joined by Gollum, leaving the rest of the fellowship to protect Isengard against Saruman's army and break the hold he has within the fortress.
LOTR: Return of the King (July 16)
An epic culmination of this trilogy, Gandalf and Aragon must lead the allies of Middle Earth in a final fight against Sauron's army, giving enough time to draw away the eye from Frodo and Sam as they summit Mount Doom.
BOOK RETURN OF THE KING TICKETS
Shutter Island (July 17)
Where would an Unlimited Film Season be without a bit of Leonardo DiCaprio? His 2010 movie, Shutter Island, returns to Cineworld screens for one day only, with the psychological thriller set to blow the minds of new and old audiences alike.
Hot Fuzz (July 21)
Dynamic duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost sandwich Hot Fuzz in their Three Flavours Cornetto, with Shaun of the Dead and The World's End either side of it. A buddy cop action comedy with some pretty gruesome scenes, this is a bit of a nationally acclaimed gem.
Children of Men (July 22)
Released back in 2006, it's the year 2027 in Children of Men, now an eerily close reality for us. In this dystopia, the world has been ravaged by war and global economic depression as infertility swept the human race. Former activist Theo Faron (Clive Owen) is entrusted with the task of transporting a young pregnant woman to a safe house.
Parasite (July 28)
Best Picture Oscar winner in 2020, Parasite was the first non-English language film to ever take home the Academy Award, a South Korean black comedy charting themes of wealth, greed, and class discrimination.
La La Land (July 29)
Ready to have your heart wrenched out of your chest? Mia and Sebastian fall in love in the City of Stars in this push and pull, Academy Award winning musical, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.
