One of the extra benefits of having a Cineworld Unlimited membership is that you can see major releases ahead of the general public thanks to Cineworld Unlimited Screenings. This year we’ve had exclusive screenings for all sorts from the fantastical horror-comedy Death of a Unicorn to the thought-provoking historical biopic Nuremberg.
With Cineworld Unlimited Screenings, there’s always something for everyone, but you don’t have to take our word for it. Cineworld Unlimited members have been making their voices heard throughout the year by chiming in with their insight and hot takes on the films they’ve seen, and what better way to honour these patrons of the big screen than by highlighting the best of those reactions right here.
So grab some popcorn, pull up a chair and let’s take a trip down Cineworld’s memory lane.
Babygirl
3 unrealistic things in the at film
— Popcorn for One🍿/Emily (@Popcorn_For_One) January 6, 2025
1) Antonio Banderas is bad in bed
2) That Nicole Kidman doesn’t think she’s beautiful
3) Her phone is constantly on & never on charge
Other than that
Bloody loved it
Babygirl is one of those films that just oozes with tension and passion in equal measure, and while it proved to be one of the first must-see films of 2025, it’s hard not to agree with this take. Antoni Banderas’ voice alone makes us feel things, and Nicole Kidman is true Hollywood royalty, but if she’s using a power bank in between scenes then we’d like to know.
September Five
Unbelievable, honestly I was speechless towards the end of that film, nobody was talking at the end as it was one of them films. Gripping entertainment tonight Cineworld!
— Adam Fowler (@Livingitadam) February 3, 2025
Making you think about a historical event from a different perspective, September Five revisits the massacre that took place during the 1972 Munich Olympics and how it was covered by the team at ABC Sports. It’s a fascinating look at history unfolding on the ground, and this observation about the ending feels spot on. We’ve all had those moments of sitting in silence during the credits, but that speaks volumes about what September Five is able to achieve.
The Last Showgirl
Pamela Anderson brings faded seaside glamour to her own personal The Wrestler. A great cast of the downtrodden and disillusioned each with their own sad back story.
— Peter Sisson (@velvetcactus198) February 24, 2025
Comparing The Last Showgirl to The Wrestler feels so apropos that we couldn’t help but include this take. Pamela Anderson came back to our screens in a big way throughout 2025 but it was her mesmerising turn as Shelly Gardner that’ll have people talking for years to come.
Materialists
Enjoyed #Materialists more than I expected. All 3 main characters were great, though any film with Pedro Pascal in it is fine by me. Loved the free #Unlimited25 tote bag, badge, and metal pin, too 👍
— Sue Ginda 🏴🇺🇦🇪🇺🇬🇧Ⓥ (@SueGinda) July 23, 2025
We’re right there with you Sue. 2025 was undoubtedly the year of Pedro Pascal. From Eddington to Fantastic Four and of course his stint in Materialists, the man was constantly on our screens and we wouldn’t have it any other way. The fact that he’ll be back again soon in both The Mandalorian & Grogu as well as Avengers: Doomsday means that the Pascal-parade is far from over.
The Life of Chuck
Really existential yet life affirming film. Don’t go in expecting it to be entirely realistic or grounded in reality. Just go along for the ride, and enjoy all the joys that Chuck’s universe has to offer. As per its message.
— Kyle Snape (@kylemsnape) August 11, 2025
This adaptation of Stephen King’s mindbending short story about the importance of life is an outstanding film, and one that really makes the most of Tom Hiddleston in the leading role. There’s something about this take from Kyle Snape that not only encapsulates the brilliance of the film but also the wonder of cinema and how it can provide something magical yet difficult to describe.
The Long Walk
When I find Stephen King…. I’m going to be having serious words with him 😂😭
— SJW (@sammyywebb) September 8, 2025
What a gut wrenching, yet incredible movie 💔
Another Stephen King adaptation here but one that’s far more bleak than The Life of Chuck (so a typical Stephen King narrative really). The Long Walk is certainly not for the faint of heart and that’s exactly why we sympathise with this particular commentator who may have a few stern words ready for the author if they ever bump into him. Run Stephen, run!
Eddington
Not sure we were needing a full frontal Phoenix 😂
— Jack (@JackGoodwin) August 18, 2025
Small town dislikes turned to outright gun slinging adrenaline fueled fun... What did we just watch! (and why did we love it?!)
Everything in this comment is just 10/10 but the term “full frontal Phoenix” is now seared into our collective brains.
These were just a handful of Cineworld Unlimited Screenings from this year and there are plenty more in store for 2026. In fact, you can already book your ticket to the first screening of the year: H is for Hawk. As the long-awaited adaptation of Helen Macdonald’s prize-winning memoir, H is for Hawk features an all-star cast including Claire Foy, Brendan Gleeson and Lindsay Duncan.
