If looks could kill, they'd go by the name of Cruella de Vil. The classic Disney villain is rendered in live-action form in the upcoming prequel/origin story Cruella, starring Emma Stone as the cackling, puppy-hating fashion designer.
The movie, directed by I, Tonya's Craig Gillespie, is set in the 1970s and shows us how Cruella was cemented as the fur coat-wearing baddie du jour. Centrally, the film is a war of escalation between the young, ambitious Cruella and her nemesis, the Baroness (played by Emma Thompson).
When we say escalation, we are, of course, referring to the costumes, and as one would expect they're to die for. Even the likes of Lady Gaga might pause for thought on seeing some of the designs in the following sneak peek. Prepare to meet the Queen of Mean...
