The first Marvel film of 2026 feels closer than ever now that the first trailer has swung its way onto the interweb. Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives at Cineworld on 31st July, 2026 as a part of Phase 6 of the MCU, and we finally got a glimpse of what was in store for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker after he made the necessary decision to wipe his existence from everyone’s memory in order to save the multiverse.
The new trailer gives us a sneak peek of the heartbreaking moment in which MJ and Peter “meet” and the fact she has no idea who he is is truly a gutpunch to the heart. Perhaps more painful still, though, is that fans have been patiently waiting to see exactly who newcomer to the franchise, Sadie Sink, will be in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Well, she was disappointingly absent from the trailer…or was she?
Let's watch it again.
Utilising their spidey senses, fans reckon we do actually get a glimpse of Sadie Sink in the teaser trailer, albeit of her back. There certainly does seem something familiar about the stance of the hooded character.

Plus it correlates with pictures taken during filming that circulated online.

Fans also suspect a further two fleeting shots in the trailer could be Sadie Sink. The figure we see appears to be restrained, concluding with a shot of their hand.

Fans of both the MCU and Spider-Man alike reckon this all but confirms that Sadie Sink will play the character of Jean Grey – previously portrayed by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner in the original X-Men trilogy and prequel X-Men films respectively.
We see Spider-Man pulling open some sort of vault, only for armed individuals to turn up and threaten both Spider-Man and the woman trapped inside. Some kind of force sees the men's necks wrenched upwards. But what’s affecting them? Could it be Jean Grey’s telekinesis.
