Music sensation and pop culture behemoth Pharrell Williams has had quite a storied life, which is why he decided to bring it to the screen in Piece by Piece.
However, it's not the standard biopic. Instead, we watch Williams' life story rendered via LEGO pieces under the direction of Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom).
The movie draws on candid interviews with key figures close to Williams and dramatises several landmark incidents from his upbringing to the creation of key songs. The movie screened in advance for Unlimited members last night and here's a sampling of their reactions.
It was a very enjoyable movie, but wow! What a journey Pharrell went through to show the world what he is made of! And it truly is a Lego Movie, but an inspirational Lego Movie at that! Overall Score: 9.5/10! Grade: A! 😁😁😁 @cineworld @universaluk @UniversalPics #PieceByPiece

Incredibly inventive and creative from start to finish - loved it! And no better way to hear Pharrell’s amazing catalogue of music and collaborations on a cinema sound system 🤩

Really good and inventive, sort of forget how many absolute bangers he's been involved in. Rockstar still sounds as fresh as it did when it first came out.

I had a great time, loved the musical numbers, at first I didn’t think Pharrell would have an interesting enough story, but I’m glad to have been proven wrong
