Watching GOAT in 4DX is a certified slam dunk – here’s why you should book your tickets now

Sony Pictures Animation is bringing out another baller film, this time in the form of sports comedy GOAT, which sees an all-animal world locked into the basketball-like game, roarball.

Reserved for the big mammals – like rhinos, elephants, and bulls – Will, a small goat, won’t let that deter him from his dreams of joining the professional league. Given a once in a lifetime opportunity, he must prove himself to his Thorns teammates and the world.

Arriving at Cineworld on 13th February, you’ll be able to watch it exclusively with us in 4DX in the UK, as well as in Superscreen and 3D, with tickets on sale now.

Spring towards that slam dunk and watch GOAT in 4DX

Cineworld is the place to see GOAT. Why? Because it's the exclusive home of 4DX in the UK. For the uninitiated, 4DX is an extreme cinema experience that caters to all the senses – it’s not just about what you see in front of you.

GOAT promises to be a fun, action-packed animation with plenty of tense, energetic scenes as the characters take part in roarball tournaments. So slam dunk your behind into a 4DX seat and move right along with the action.

4DX chairs are built to jerk, tilt, and jump, with wind and water also coming at you to bring to life the events of the movie. Scents and strobe lighting are also often used to amplify the story and make for an even more immersive and electrifying experience.

GOAT has an elite cast, including a Stranger Things reunion

Caleb McLaughlin voices Will Harris, a teenage Boer goat with high hopes of joining the big dogs (literally) and becoming a professional roarball player. He reunites with fellow Stranger Things co-star David Harbour, who voices one of the roarball players – a rhinoceros called Archie – who is less than enthused by Will’s recruitment.

Other big names in GOAT include Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, and Jennifer Hudson.

GOAT’s cast also includes a cameo from NBA basketball player Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry, as well as Dwayne Wade, Kevin Love, Angel Reese, A’ja Wilson, and others.

Sony Pictures Animation have delivered some of the biggest titles in recent years

Heard of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse? Or maybe KPop Demon Hunters? Of course you have. Well, the Academy Award winning studio (which has picked up a nomination for Best Animated Feature at this year’s upcoming Oscars for the latter) is back with another soon-to-be-hit.

If you’ve watched either of these films, you’ll know their style is unique. It’s unlike your Disney or your Dreamworks. Not to say what they’re doing isn’t stellar work, but it’s cool that Sony has found its own lane and is accelerating through it.

It’s literally called GOAT i.e. Greatest Of All Time

We love the double meaning here. It’s not exactly confirmed, but the fact the title of the film is stylised in all caps – and some of the best sports stars in the business are often referred to as the GOAT – means it’s probably pretty intentional. And if a movie is titled the Greatest Of All Time, you better believe this is going to be an epic piece of cinema.

Out at Cineworld on 13th February, book and watch GOAT.
