Pixar's visually gorgeous sequel Inside Out 2 takes us back inside the head of young girl Riley. She's now hitting the awkward puberty years, which means chaos at emotional HQ as Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and their emotional cohorts must deal with the messy arrival of Anxiety (Maya Hawke) whose role is to protect Riley from all form of psychological harm.
As one would expect, the film's observations are truthful and hilarious, speaking as much to grown-ups as they do to children. Inside Out 2 is therefore the perfect film to experience with the Cineworld Family Ticket. The family ticket applies to 2 adults and 2 kids or 1 adult and 3 kids. This can be used for children up to the age of 14 and remember, adults pay kids' prices and the savings are the same.
If your emotions had physical form, which would you be? The effervescent Joy? The overwrought Anxiety? Or something else entirely? In our behind-the-scenes interview, we put the question to filmmakers Kelsey Mann, who directs, and Pixar's new chief creative director Pete Docter, who executive produces.
Mann makes his feature film debut with Inside Out 2 and outlines the challenges of making a movie that appeals to all ages from 5 to 105. Docter, meanwhile, elaborates on how the sequel pays tribute to the Oscar-winning first film, which he directed. Check out the interview below.
