We could not be happier about some of our favourite movies from the 90s and 00s getting sequels. Alongside Freakier Friday, which is out in just a couple of weeks time, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has started filming.
Anne Hathaway is officially booked and busy as she also revealed The Princess Diaries 3 is in development. To top it off, Daisy Edgar Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles are walking in the footsteps of Emma Thompson and Kate Winselet for a new spin on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
While that’s a whole lot of chick flick goodness (and we won’t accept that label as anything other than a great thing!), we asked you what bangers from the 90s and 00s you’d love to see get a sequel, and you delivered.
Friday (1995)
Who doesn’t want to see more of Craig and Smokey’s antics, although it’s fair to say we did get a whole two more movies, Next Friday and Friday After Next after the commercial success of the 1995 original. However, X user Matthew wants more, and we’re here for it.

Face / Off (1997)
Giving body swap a whole new meaning, the original sees John Travolta and Nicolas Cage as an FBI agent and terrorist who undergo surgery to swap faces and identities. It’s absolutely wild. Wilder still would be seeing these two huge names back together again and thinking about how they’d take the concept to the next level.
Hot-Rod (2007)
Adam Samberg sure has had an illustrious career since his first film debut in 2007’s Hot-Rod. If nothing else, our sentimental little hearts would love to see a follow-up. Considering Hot-Rod walked so The Fall Guy could run, it would be a thing of beauty to see Samberg and Ryan Gosling join forces for some kind of stuntman mash-up, too.
Let us know over on X what other sequels you'd love to see to those nostalgic 90s/00s hits, and we'll keep you updated on any revivals in development.
